We began our adventure in the photovoltaic sector in Belgium in 2007. At that time, the market was experiencing strong growth thanks to the Solwatt plan and green certificates. Initially, we were only installers of photovoltaic panels in the province of Liège, but our company has expanded.
We quickly realized that the quality of solar panels available in Belgium was uneven. Faced with this observation, we invested in quality control equipment for solar panels. This led us to seek more reliable and sustainable solutions for our customers.
In 2012, we took a major step by becoming manufacturers of photovoltaic panels.Our goal was to provide quality ‘Made in Belgium’ panels.Since then, our production capacity has significantly increased, from 2,000 panels in 2012 to over 100,000 panels in the past three years.
From a few people in 2012, Belga Solar, formerly Evocells, now employs over 30 people. We have expanded our infrastructure and invested in cutting-edge technologies. These investments have allowed us to continue to innovate and increase our manufacturing and installation capabilities.
We have developed expertise in several areas, including the manufacturing of photovoltaic panels and the installation of panels and charging stations. This mastery of the entire value chain allows us to offer you the best of photovoltaic energy.
With our new name Belga Solar (formerly Evocells), we reaffirm our identity, commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation. We look forward to guiding you in your solar energy projects.
At Belga Solar, we take our environmental responsibility seriously. That's why we have adopted a proactive approach to reducing our carbon footprint. In addition to measuring our energy consumption, we have implemented a comprehensive strategy to minimize our CO2 emissions.
An independent organization used the Bilan Carbone® methodology to assess the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with our activities. This assessment allows us to target concrete actions to reduce our environmental impact.
With this step, we aim to demonstrate our commitment to reducing climate change and offer a product that is 100% CO2 neutral.
Graine de Vie is a Belgian non-governmental organization dedicated to neutralizing the ecological footprint of industrialized countries. It achieves this by initiating reforestation projects in developing countries. So far, Graine de Vie has enabled the planting of over 15 million trees in Madagascar.
